9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Footprints Dance Project Society of Alberta.

We are a Calgary based, non-profit community organization dedicated to the arts and in particular, dance.

Our mission is to ensure children and youth facing economic, physical, and social barriers, have an opportunity to experience and enjoy the arts.

We provide free performing arts programs, classes and performance opportunities to children and youth.

Founded in 1999, the Footprints Dance Project has provided arts programs to over two thousand children and youth aged 3-18, in various communities throughout Calgary.

I would like to extend an invitation to your children to attend Footprints Summer Dance Intensive. This is our unique annual summer program.

This year we will have fresh faces and a new location at Decidedly Jazz Dance Centre.

Dancers will be immersed in artistry and community!

All genders, cultures, identities will be welcomed into the space.

Our programs are about the passion for the arts, uniting through connection, and lighting the spark through self and each other!

Did I mention it’s free and food is provided!

Dancers will learn spoken word, Latin, Contemporary, and Hip Hop. They will experience workshops that bridge communities and collaboration together.

The Intensive is geared for ages 10 - 17 years!

Students will be learning from:

Wakefield Brewster - Spoken word poetry (Alberta Poet Laureate, National spoken word artist)

Karen Berry - Authentic Movement (Master dance teacher with over 25 years experience in various styles of dance)

Shemar Herbert - Hip Hop (Hip Hop Master dancer, Decidedly Jazz Danceworks company dancer)

Alexis Mora - Latin (Cuban Master dancer, DJ, SoundKreations Master dance teacher)

Artistic Director: Nicole - Contemporary (Artistic Director, Master teacher with over 30 years experience)

Students will also have additional activities like roller skating, community building, and visual arts to allow a well rounded experience.
