Emmett Wheatfall Poet & Pastor Remember the Hope Christian Fellowship

To Whom It May Concern

I’m writing this letter of reference for Mr. Wakefield Brewster who has made application for admittance into your academic institution. Please accept my following comments as my earnest representation of who I know Mr. Brewster to be.

First and foremost, Mr. Brewster is my dear friend. I have known him now for more than 2 years. One might ask “How can someone become a dear friend in that relatively short amount of time?”  Please note that Mr. Brewster is an internationally renowned poet and spoken word artist. His reputation is legendary and growing. It is through this art form, the both of us being poets have come to know and respect each other.

I will not spend time in this correspondence going over his pedigree, for it is too cumbersome. However, I would like to take time to let you know I have found him to be a peaceable man, who loves his wife, cherishes his children, and quickly becomes a friend to everyone he meets.

More importantly, he is a highly intelligent man. His ability to recall information is phenomenal. For someone not having completed a formal academic education, he is quite brilliant, personified in his poetic work.

I am persuaded, that if given the right opportunity, and with the assistance from the great faculty members your institution employs, Mr. Brewster will accomplish something most noteworthy—shining brightly on your precious decision to accept him as a student.

By way of personal background, I am not only a poet, but a Christian pastor. Rest assured I do not offer this reference lightly, as being truthful is a precious life tenet for me.

Please, I urge you to give prompt care to your decision and make a difference in this man’s life by granting him an opportunity to educate himself. I tremble at what wonderful outcomes will arise by you giving him this opportunity.

Sincerely,

Emmett Wheatfall
