FEBRUARY IN AUGUST… 2023!
PoetryPeeps!
Good Day, Greetings & Salutations.
Hello and How are you, today?
WarmestWelcome.
It’s back.
Not only is it back, but it appears to be here to stay, here to be annual, here to be housed, and homed.
The Grand Theatre has given its full support to make “February In August” an ongoing, yearly event.
In 2022, Page2StageProductions earned the opportunity to present “February In August”, for the first time, initially curated as a one-time-production.
The event was to recognize the significance of an all-Black Artistic Production, outside of the typical calendar norm of February, Black History Month.
Furthermore, the event is held as far from Black History Month as possible, in August, a month that is polar opposite, half-a-year away.
One Revolution ‘round the sun and it’s returned in 2023, with more of the same, all that is different, and Beautifully Black.
