Without the guidance and mentorship of Wakefield, I would not be the poet I am today, taking risks and opportunities to present and create poetry without fear of judgement. 

Wakefield is a positive force for emerging artists and encourages all to publish their authentic selves. 

I have developed more confidence in my writing by publishing on the IndieYYC, presenting at open mic sessions, and networking with other poets. 

This has resulted from Wakefield’s community patronage and general enthusiasm to support artists. Thank you to Wakefield for his profound work in the community.
