Connection with Connect Charter

It’s all in the name.

In these last five phonetically-filled days, a near 100 Grade 7 Students opened up their minds, hearts, and imaginations, to the presence, the positivity, and power of Poetry.

Rick Fawcett, Sarah Malcolm, Mary Jensen, Chris Gilmore - just to name a few - what wonderful supports you have been, inside and outside of the classroom.

You were compassionate and caring, you gave me your company, and comradery.

From Library to Lunchroom, I felt professionally propped, and socially secured - which matters, being your guest, and “The New Kid at school”.

For your Inclusion, and the feeling of Belonging that you imbued each exchange with, I Thank You.

Jodi Garagan - Teacher, Leader, Mother, Nurturer - you are a force of Productive Struggle, and Positive Disruption.

You are another shining example of the kind of Educator that I needed.

You are another magnificent mentor for how I may Educate at such an admirable level - for any student that needs me.

Y’all gave me cheesecake and made me cry at the end of it all, hell, I’m tearing up, again…

And - we’re already onboard for next year.

That tells me I’m doing my job.

See You in Autumn, Connect Charter School!
