“For my Poet Laureate Legacy Project, I did not write a book, attempt a tome, make a recording, nor set word in stone. My Laureate Legacy is your Poetic Progeny.”

In these last five phonetically-filled days, a near 100 Grade 7 Students opened up their minds, hearts, and imaginations, to the presence, the positivity, and power of Poetry.

“Here I stand inside a Catholic School, a former follower of faith, a Poet who once considered being a Preacher. Inside of the church, was the only place that I ever even heard that word. It was a word reserved for The Saved, The Forgiven, The Chosen, The Blessed That Be - not for me - until now. Yes.”
