While previously working at Warden Avenue Public School, I had the pleasure of inviting Wakefield Brewster to perform for the students.

Wakefield put together a creative presentation of spoken-word pieces that students ranging in age 6 to 11 could easily understand and enjoy.  His performance was fused with artistic energy and thoughtful sequences, which made it distinctive and successful.

I would highly recommend Wakefield as a performing poet in any school or educational program.
